Near the Columbus Zoo, Bridge Park, Polaris, Ohio Weslyan University, Scotts Lawn Care, Honda of Marysville, Dublin Methodist Hospital, and much more! with plenty of room to park your trailered boat and enjoy Delaware or Alum Creek State Park lakes, sailing or kayaking on the Scioto River, this home on a 1/2 acre wooded lot is a relaxing stay.

Good to know

Our brand new cottage is a 2 bed, 2 bath retreat on a wooded 1/2 acre lot that is a breath of fresh air. Our goal is comfort, in every detail. From the mattresses, pillows, sheets, soft blankets, and warm fireplaces to cozy seating both inside and outside. Furnished with all the comfort a home away from home could provide, you will want to stay a little longer. With lots of indoor and outdoor living space you will find covered and uncovered porches, a patio and a fire pit to enjoy peaceful country life. Just a few houses down from the Scioto River, and bridge access for fishing or creeking. Inside, the onsuite bedroom upstairs is furnished with a king sized bed, full bathroom and jetted tub. The loft on the second floor offers a work nook with spacious views. The kitchen and morning room is conveniently located on the first floor. There is also a bedroom on the first floor with a queen sized bed, jack and jill bathroom with a walk in shower and laundry room. The lower walkout level has two separate seating areas, one room with air hockey, foosball and table tennis. There are three TV's in the house in each of the three seating areas along with electric fireplaces on the first and lower levels for extra warmth on cold nights.

Stays of 28 days or longer require a signed rental agreement and a $500 refundable deposit. RENTAL AGREEMENT This Lease is entered into on the date hereof, by and between (“Owner”) and (“Renter”) for the property located in and listed as (“Property”).  TERM: The term of the Lease shall begin on the arrival date of and end on the departure date of for . The property will be ready for occupancy no earlier than 3:00 PM on the arrival date and must be vacated no later than 11:00 am on the departure date. The term of the Lease may be reduced or extended upon mutual consent, following payment of any additional fees agreed between the parties, and confirmed in writing by the Owner. RENT: The total rent is payable at the time of booking. LIMITED OCCUPANCY: Occupancy is limited to the number of guests specified on the booking: .  If the Owner concludes that this policy has been breached, the Owner reserves the right to expel the entire party with no refund. NON-DISTURBANCE CLAUSE: Renter and their guests shall not disturb, annoy, endanger (fireworks), or create inconvenience for neighbors nor use the premises for any unlawful purposes. You agree to keep outside noise to a minimum between the hours of 11:00 pm and 8:00 am.  You and all other guests agree to abide by all applicable parking restrictions and limitations by staying off of the neighbors property and park only on the designated driveway. CARE OF PREMISES/DAMAGES: NO UNAUTHORIZED PETS ALLOWED. NO SMOKING PERMITTED IN HOUSE. NO Illegal Activity anywhere on premises. Automatic eviction plus forfeit of any deposit and rent if violated. Renter agrees to pay the Owner for any damages to furnishings, household items, that occur as a result of Renter’s occupancy. This will include payment of any additional cleaning charges over $100.00 incurred due to Renter’s occupancy. To prevent theft of, or damage to the Renter's personal property and that of the Property, Renter agrees to close and lock doors and windows when not present at the Property, including upon check-out. OWNERS RIGHTS: Renter agrees that if the conditions and limitations set forth herein are not met, Owner shall have the right to cancel this agreement and may enter the Property, either by statutory proceedings or by force, to inspect the Property and ensure that Renter has vacated the Property. All monies paid by Renter shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. INDEMNITY CLAUSE: Renter hereby agrees to Indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from any and all claims, including those of third parties, arising out of or in any way related to Renter’s use of Property or the items of personal property provided therein.  Renter assumes all risk of injury or other losses relating to any recreational activities, including the use of any swimming pool on the Property, and will hold Owner harmless with respect thereto. NO SUBLETTING: Renter may not sublet or assign this Lease for all or any part of the premises without the prior written consent of the Owner. NO PERMANENT RESIDENCE: Renter's use of the Property is on a temporary, short-term, and transient basis only. The Property is not, and will not be, the Renter's, or any guest's, permanent residence. REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE:  The Property is rented with the Owner’s furniture and household furnishings. The owner shall not be responsible for providing additional furnishings or equipment not presently available in the Property.  Renter will report any maintenance issues immediately to the Owner. The Owner will make every effort to repair and/or replace any equipment that is not working properly but cannot guarantee that all equipment is in good operating order at all times and no rate adjustments or refund will be made for equipment or appliance failures. CANCELLATIONS: Renter may cancel at any time. The Owner will return any refundable amount, if applicable, according to the reservation's cancellation policy. By signing this Lease, you acknowledge that you will comply with the terms of this agreement, and each party assumes the responsibility for the obligations set forth herein. Renter acknowledges receipt of the House Rules.  Renter acknowledges that they have read, accept, and agree to the terms set forth.

House Rules

Welcome to our cottage by the river! Please be respectful of our place and treat it as you would your own. We hope you enjoy your time here. We live just a few houses away and are thrilled to share this beautiful area with you. Please note this is new construction, some areas of the yard are still dirt covered where grass has not yet grown in. Absolutely no smoking, vaping or illegal drugs inside the home. Stay out of the woods and only on mowed paths as there is poison ivy growing and also the possibility of old fencing and construction material. Max occupancy is 4 people due to private sewer system. Do not flush trash, tampons or other objects in toilet. Guest is liable for repairs of such. No parties. Pets: No cats. One dog only permitted on premises, must be crated if left alone in the house. yard waste from pets must be cleaned by guests or there will be an additional cleaning fee charged. Do not bring hair dye, spray tan, or glitter into the house as these are difficult to remove and may cause permanent damage to the home. Stays longer than 28 days require a signed lease agreement along with a deposit. suspicion of illegal activity will terminate your stay. non compliance to rules are grounds for immediate removal from property.

Just an immaculate and really cute place close to Delaware, Ohio and Columbus. Easy to find, park, load out and in. Furnishings were modern and comfortable. Amenities were ample. We felt right at home during the weekend! I will return to this exact property again when I come back to visit Delaware!
